Light, Space, Surface is an editorial project that features a trifold brochure focused on LACMA’s collection of works centered around the themes of light, space, and surface, with an emphasis on 3D art. The brochure serves as both an informative piece and a visual extension of the concepts explored in the artworks, connecting the viewer’s experience with the gallery’s physical space. The design incorporates elements of light, shadow, and dimensionality to reflect the exhibition’s core themes. The layout plays with layering, transparency, and the illusion of depth, guiding the reader through a journey that mirrors the tactile and immersive nature of 3D artwork. Each panel is thoughtfully designed to highlight key pieces in the collection while using minimalism and strategic use of space to evoke the sense of depth and interaction present in the works themselves. The final design creates a cohesive visual experience that complements the exploration of light, space, and surface in contemporary art.
