This project centered around creating a refined and thoughtful book cover for As a Man Thinketh by James Allen. Inspired by the book’s philosophical and motivational tone, the design aimed to reflect clarity, discipline, and inner growth. A minimalist aesthetic was chosen to mirror the simplicity and depth of the text, using a clean layout, soft tones, and an illustrative, Swiss-style graphic approach. At the heart of the design is a visual metaphor: a series of flowers out of bloom with just one in full blossom. This single blooming flower represents personal growth, enlightenment, and the transformative power of focused thought and intention. Paired with refined typography and intentional white space, the cover offers a quiet yet powerful visual cue to the reader’s journey of self-realization, mindful transformation, and personal clarity.
